Funeral Price Comparison

As important as price can be, at a time of need the service provided to you and your family is of the utmost importance. At Going Home Cremation & Funeral Care, from the moment you contact us, you will be treated with the compassion and dignity you expect and deserve. We will see to it that every aspect of the funeral goes as it should and that all of your requests are carried out in the manner you expected. Because our prices are so much lower than others, we worry that families will think they are getting something less from us. On the contrary, we believe you get more – a lot more. No one will provide you with better, more attentive service.

Going Home by Value Choice understands the importance to the families we serve of providing pricing information that is easily understandable. With so much regulation in the funeral industry, we are required to attribute prices for every aspect of service we perform. This information is available on our published General Price List but because there are so many items listed, trying to ascertain from this list the bottom line cost of planning a funeral is extremely difficult.

To simplify matters, we have adopted a pricing philosophy which minimizes the fees for the various services typically included in either a cremation, graveside or chapel funeral service and placed the brunt of the cost in what is known as our professional services fee. We believe doing things in this manner gives our families a better understanding of what the total cost of the funeral will be. When comparing prices amongst Funeral Homes, please be mindful of the bottom line and, always feel free to call us with any questions or concerns.

If you are looking for information about how much funeral services cost in the Washington/Baltimore area and surrounding Counties, we know that it can be quite confusing, that’s why we researched a comparison of Washington Metro area Funeral Service Providers. Please see the comparison chart below.

Professional services of a licensed funeral director, transfer from place of death, refrigeration, sanitary care of an unembalmed remains, dressing and casketing, hearse, graveside service with licensed funeral director, 20 gauge metal casket, flower spray and prayer cards. Please note: Some firms may include additional services.

Additional services and items included in the $3595 by Going Home by Value Choice:

  • Online obituary (does not expire)
  • No Hidden Fee Guarantee
  • 100% Satisfaction Guarantee

Please note: Going Home by Value Choice price does not include embalming. Embalming is not required by law or by Going Home by Value Choice. Embalming is available for extra cost if expressly desired and can be discussed with the funeral director.

To make an appointment or if you have additional questions, please call Going Home by Value Choice at (301) 296-6864 or send us a message on the "Contact Us" tab.
Please note: By Federal Law, this Public Information MUST be disclosed by all Funeral Homes to family clients. You can call or walk into any Washington/Baltimore area Funeral Home or Funeral Provider and get their price list. In November, 2017 pricing surveys were conducted of the area Funeral Homes listed above in order to compare pricing. The prices are accurate, based upon the information obtained during the survey. Prices are subject to change without notice and you may contact each Funeral Home for their price list.
